“There are several numbers of students, we know that they do not have breakfast from home. What we can do it best is to give them a box of milk in order to mitigate their hunger, until it is a lunch time at noon.” “The case of little boy ‘Nong Bundit’, he is 6 years old but his weight is only 12 kilograms and very small size body.” We have this information from school director of Phoe Tak School, which is an initiation of the project of ‘Nutrition Development and Breakfast Program for Students living in Difficult Circumstances’ Target of the project is for students of Phoe Tak and Sao Lae Schools, located in Phoe Tak district, Nong Khai provicen. Project goal is to upgrade health development for students of malnutrition by providing knowledge and skill of good nutrition and foods for teachers and parents. The project is also to provide schools small grants for breakfast management. The Breakfast will be supported for students of malnutrition and in poor families. Period of project implementation is from now on till to the end of semester in March 2016. The FCYD Foundation has some starting budget but not covered all items. We would like to ask for donation from good-heart people for following items; Rice, canned and preserved food and ingredients e.g. fish sources, vegetable oil, sugar, etc. Cash donation for breakfast small grant, this will be for expenditures of fresh food and vegetable each day It is pleasure that, Head of Nutrition Devepartment of Nong Khai General Hospital, Khun Kamoltha – she is pleased to be our project advisor and facilitator for nutritional and cooking workshops (last pic).
