Project – “Good Kids with Good Future”: a young boy; Nong Maam

When Nong Maam was 5 years old. His mother took him to an annual festival of a temple in Nongkhai province. He saw a local musical instrument ‘Pin’ (look like a guitar) and asked for it. Sadly, that his mom had not enough amount of money. Time passed by, Nong Maam grew up and studied in Pratom 2 (7 years old). The mother one day heard music voice from a room of Nong Maam’s elder sister. It was voice of guitar but in Esaan music style. She was certainly to understand that Nong Maam was really serious with the ‘Pin’ instrument.

Later, the mother made decision to buy a new ‘Pin’ for him. Nong Maam was great in learning how to play the Pin – learning by doing from Youtube. He was gradually able to play at higher level skill. One day, the mother asked and challenged him ‘Do you want to play at the night market of Nong Khai municipality?’ Since then, every Saturday night, Nong Maam had shown his ‘Pin’ musical ability and received some tips from people.

The FCYD Foundation made decision to give him a new ‘Pin’ instrument; the professional one from experienced musical teacher. It was strongly hoped that the new Pin could be able to lead his life to meet a better place. Good luck a young boy – Nong Maam.
