Planting sunflower sprouts

Ban Na Wa School, Amphoe Sangkom, Udonthani is a small school where the FCYD Foundation has collaborated on TTS-Teach Thai Student program to develop students for many years, covering both academic and basic vocational skills such as vegetable gardening, raising laying hens, and fish farming. Students have hands-on experience and sell their products at the fresh market, generating income for the school and pocket money for themselves.

Sunflower sprouts are another nutritious food crop that takes only 7 days from planting to harvesting and selling. This time, we had an experienced speaker, the mother of Ohm, a young football player in the Foundation’s “Good Kids with a Bright Future” project, to educate the students and teachers on how to start growing sunflower sprouts.
