Academic Day ‘Language… Knowledge to Know’

Academic Day ‘Language… Knowledge to Know’

One of the key problems for Thai students in rural areas is communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It comes from different causes and combinations of limited factors like intellectual degree, critical thinking, working memory, and brain development. Another negative cause is probably caused by an inappropriate parenting style.

Activity of Academic Day ‘Language… Knowledge to Know’ is a new initiative that the FCYD Foundation creates as an opportunity for students to practice and present their communication skills in a recreational environment. This time, it’s an event at Dong Swang School in Seka district, Beungkan province. The activity allows students to work in groups and show their presentations on the selected topics. Thai is a session in the morning, while in the afternoon it is an English session. Selected topics are varied and based on their interests and surrounding situations. The academic day is a great tool to inspire students to have a wider scope of tangible skills in authentic communication. Thank you for all the support from the teachers of Dong Swang School.
