The Fellowship Foundation for Child and Youth Development (FCYD) in collaboration with Childcare Center Network of Nong Khai Province has initiated the project to improve environmental conditions of the declined childcare centers. Within the collaboration, initial survey has been conducted and agreed among network leaders and the FCYD to prioritize the improvement project for needy childcare centers in rural areas of Rattanawapee district; a border to Laos. The project goal is to improve environmental conditions of different items and make it complete within the school break and be ready for a new academic year to come in May 2015. The declination of the building and environment is mainly caused from a lack of maintenance budget. Some centers established for almost 20 years located in the territory of temple and has been operated with limited resources from year by year. We, FCYD agree to implement the improvement project in order to provide better physical and environmental conditions for the young kids. List of the target childcare centers are as follows; 1. CCC of Baan Nong Kaew, 80 children and 4 teachers 2. CCC of Baan Non Swan (in temple), 45 children and 4 teachers 3. CCC of Mongkhol Nimit (in temple), 35 children and 3 teachers Improvement of Appropriate Environments * Extension and separation the space for KG1 and KG 2 * Extension for areas of ‘brush the teeth, washing hands and faces’ for the children * Maintenance and new construction of toilets * Maintenance the playground and its play materials for safety * Construction of new concrete fence to replace the bamboo-fence * Maintenance and improvement of kitchen areas to prepare foods & drinks The FCYD Foundation is to implement the improvement project to complete it before a new semester to come in May 2015. At the moment, we are asking technician and relevant officers for extension and maintenance layout as well as its budget estimation. The project is considered is as voluntary contribution from the FCYD. By doing this, we would like to ask for funding possibilities from the good-heart people to join us in doing this project together.
