Attachment is the bond between a mother and child that exists at a subconscious level. It is more than just a visible or superficial relationship or bond. The first three years of life are the most important period when a child creates a real mother, then forms an attachment to the mother, and finally develops a sense of self. This is the mother-attachment-self-concept: without a mother, there is no attachment, and thus no self. “Attachment is the rudder, the head of the ship is EF-Executive Function of braining prefrontal cortex.”
Children in rural areas who are not raised by their biological parents but by their grandparents, who act as the “real mothers,” in their daily life are the foundation of these relationships. The family camps organized by the FCYD Foundation each time aim to create bonds between mothers, fathers, and children through various creative activities together. This time, the Ban Wangnammok family camp, in addition to lectures on good parenting according to EF principles and activities to listen to and understand each other, also includes making local dishes and making Esaan-style bamboo baskets, as well as unity sports. Thank you for all support and donation to help young children in rural areas of Essan region.
