Grandma Muen is Laotian, having fled hardship to live in Thailand for several decades in Muang Nongkhai province. Her children married Thai people, so her grandchildren, who were born here, are Thai and attend school as usual—seven of them. However, due to the large family living together, it is difficult to make a living. Their residence still needs a lot of repairs and improvements. The FCYD Foundation provided household items, dry food, clothes, dolls, and toys, and offered initial financial assistance to Grandma Muen as encouragement. We also gave her advice on taking care of the children, especially assigning household chores to the kids to help them develop self-control skills and set limits on phone usage.
